Chile,[a] officially the Republic of Chile,[b] is a country located in western South America. It is the southernmost country in the world and the closest to Antarctica, stretching along a narrow strip of land between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. With an area of 756,096 square kilometers (291,930 sq mi) and a population of 17.5 million as of 2017,[9] Chile shares borders with Peru to the north, Bolivia to the northeast, Argentina to the east, and the Drake Passage to the south. The country also controls several Pacific islands, including Juan Fernández, Isla Salas y Gómez, Desventuradas, and Easter Island, and claims about 1,250,000 square kilometers (480,000 sq mi) of Antarctica as the Chilean Antarctic Territory.[nb 2] The capital and largest city of Chile is Santiago, and the national language is Spanish. Best Airport to fly from, in Europe
In the South of Chile you find several settlements from German Immigrants, that's why you get a direct flight from Munich via Santiago de Chile to Puerto Montt. From Puerto Montt you can take a small plane to Puelo near the Rio Puelo, which will shorten the road trip from Puerto Mont by 3 hours. Budget for the flight from Munich 1300 - 1500 EUR.

It is important to note that the immigration authorities have the right to request additional documentation or information as they see fit. Travelers are advised to have all required documents and information ready for presentation to the immigration officers upon arrival in Chile.

Valid passport
Check that Swiss passport is valid for at least six months from the date of your arrival in Chile. If not apply for a new Swiss passport.

Arrival
After arriving, Swiss citizens can go to Chile immigration counter.

Submit documents
Upon arrival in Chile, present Switzerland passport or Travel document to the immigration officer at the counter.

Receive visa

What Do I need to pack for fishing?
Guests familiar with King Salmon fishing, are free to bring their own fishing gear.Â
For guests who would like to try flyfishing, we have a few excellent G.Loomis and SAGE flyrods. We also have some robust spinning rods for everyone else.Â
Bring warm cloth and raingear, Neoprene Waders, and some cloth for the Cabin.
Do we have wifi / TV / Netflix
We have wifi and some TV programs. Communication via WhatsApp works well.
Can I have my king salmon smoked?
We can provide cold and hot smoked smoking service, vacuumed, packed and held ready for pick up before the return flight, by an experienced local smoking company

We Have local fishing guides that can be hired including boats, per day or week.
